Setup Development

You use the Setup Development tabs to set up the development headings for scheduling. Setting up the development headings includes assigning names, checking that the design is valid in its mining directions and the connections between headings, and assigning various parameters such as the heading profile.

Note: Setting up the development headings does not include assigning precedences and resources. Precedences and resources are assigned when you are setting up the schedule.

The Setup Development step contains six tabs: Headings, Names, Connections, Parameters, Evaluate, and Tracking.

You use the Headings tab to load and unload your design centreline file, and to verify that the correct design file is loaded.

You use the Names tab to add a unique name to each of your development headings.

You use the Connections tab to make minor corrections to the design such as reversing directions and connecting poorly designed headings. Where there are errors that are too large, or there are too many errors, it is recommended that you correct them in the original design file.

You use the Parameters tab to define a number of parameters such as the profiles of the headings.

You use the Evaluate tab to evaluate your headings using charts and reports that show quantities and qualities by material class.

You use the Tracking tab to track your actual development against your schedule.
